“Look at how a single candle can both defy

and define the darkness.”

Design Philosophy

Human beings have 5 main senses that they use to perceive the world around them, but 80% of our impressions about the world is through the sense of vision.  To see we must have Light.  It is generated from either natural or artificial sources and reflects off objects around us. It is that reflected light that enters our eyes and is interpreted by the brain so we may see.  This interpretation of the visual world is also colored by our own personal history and cultural references.

As a designer I take the words of light (color, intensity, direction, movement) and I mix them together over time to create a story.  The story could be small or it could be epic but, a story it will be.  In knowing how people interpret what they see, and how the brain functions I can spin a tale that the audience can hear with their eyes and hopefully attach to their soul.
